FYI: This last week has been challenging since the Holidays left me with no help. What I did learn is that I'm in better shape than most men my age. In the last five days, working part time, I put all of the roof panels on by myself. It wasn't easy, but when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Unfortunately, it's not just about placing the roof panels on the roof top. Under each panel, you have to elevate each one, adding a special sealant between the flat surfaces. Simultaneously, you have to apply structural adhesive in the tongue and groove joints. Then, you have clean up because it's messy. Also, I ran 12 volt wiring for the overhead surface mounted LED lights and today i ran the 110 wiring for the ceiling fan over the master. When I had a chance, I made time to keep the new kitty alive. Basically, with a traditional build, the roof goes up last. With our system, the roof goes up first. A bonus is that you now have a protected area for building your tiny. If it rains, you are located in a free building. Today, when the Sun did it’s thing, my sombrero wasn't necessary. Tomorrow, I will install the roof for the gable section and then install 65 special drill point 5" screws with an aluminum/rubber washer. Soon, I will video the installation of our lifetime warranty spray on roof liner for the flat roof. This can be walked on as there will be a removable roof-top railing. Access will be from the middle loft. Later this week, we have 14 additional windows, 2 double French full light doors, and two sky lights. Wait a minute....Where are the rafters, roof sheathing, underlayment, and roofing material? Also, what happened to the exposed fenders/wheels/tires, requiring that we modify our floor plan and build around them. Also they take up valuable space in the kitchen cabinets. Oh, I remember!! There are none when you build on the revolutionary Faast Track Trailer. Stay tuned, there is never a dull moment. Shalom Larry.
